Jupiter - Hubble telescope

This event is part of the Discovering Northern Dark Skies Programme, organised by the AONB Partnership and funded by the Science & Technology Facilities Council.

This is the first of two workshops for young people studying science or with an interest in Space.

How we make observations of the universe requires an understanding of the nature of light. How do we get our heads around looking out into space while simultaneously looking back in time?

Discussions link to both GCSE and A-level Physics specifications.

With clear skies, we can put theory into practice with observations of the night sky at the North Pennines Observatory.

This event is FREE but places are limited.

Meet 5:30pm – 8pm at North Pennines Observatory

Allenheads GR: NY861454 Postcode: NE47 9HR
