This event is part of the second annual North Pennines Stargazing Festival running between 20 Oct-04 Nov 2018, during Half-Term.   Organised by the North Pennines AONB Partnership and supported by: Durham County Council; Northumberland County Council and Visit County Durham, the 2018 Stargazing Festival will take advantage of the area's stunning dark skyscape with 30 events over the two weeks unlocking the wonders of the night sky. If you are an existing Supporting Members of North Pennines Observatory you can enjoy discounted ticket prices for some paid-for events during the festival.

Come and explore the dark skies and stars creatively with artist Gemma McColl from Suitcase Studios. Enjoy learning how to paint on silk and create your very own constellation to take home! Aimed at 4–11 year olds but everyone is welcome.
