YOUR OWN PURPOSE-BUILT WINDOW ON THE UNIVERSE
The Moon will be up, so during this session we'll look at it unaided, and using binoculars and the Observatory telescopes. Gary Lintern will lead with a talk about astronomy equipment, and how to plan an observing session, including advice on weather and finding which objects/events may be visible. It's the night after the Leonid meteor shower, so we may also see a few stragglers. Could be another chance to see Mars - and perhaps Venus.
Remember to wrap up warm, wear appropriate footwear and to bring a torch to see your way back to your car. DIRECTIONS
(Note: If this event becomes over-subscribed then an additional event will be arranged for a later date)
